Instances where a refund is not required:
You are not obligated to provide a refund to a customer if they:

  1. Were aware of a product’s fault at the time of purchase.
  2. Attempted to repair an item themselves or enlisted someone else to do so, leading to damage (although they may still be eligible for repair, replacement, or a partial refund).
  3. No longer wish to keep an item (e.g., due to incorrect size or color), except in cases where the purchase was made without viewing the item.

Refunds are applicable to certain items only if they are faulty, including:

  1. Personalized and custom-made items, such as curtains.
  2. Perishable goods, such as frozen food or flowers.
  3. Newspapers and magazines.
  4. Unsealed CDs, DVDs, and computer software.

Returns for Online, Mail, and Phone Orders:
Customers who place orders through online, mail, or telephone channels have the right to cancel their order within a specified timeframe, even if the items are not faulty. This type of transaction falls under “distance selling.”

Customers have 14 days from the receipt of their goods to notify us of their intention to cancel. Subsequently, they have another 14 days to return the goods to us.

Upon receipt of the returned goods, we will process the refund within 14 days. Customers are not required to provide a reason for the return.

Repairs and Replacements:
Should a customer “accept” an item and later discover a fault, you may be required to either repair or replace the item. The customer retains the option to reject the item after it has been repaired or replaced.

An item is considered “accepted” if:

  1. The customer has communicated their acceptance, having had sufficient opportunity to inspect the item upon receiving it.
  2. The item has been altered by the customer.

You are obliged to repair or replace an item if a customer returns it within 6 months, unless evidence proves that the item was not faulty at the time of purchase.

For repair or replacement requests made beyond 6 months, you may request evidence indicating that the item was faulty at the time of purchase.

Claims and Duration:
Customers have the right to file claims for items purchased from CraftBeads.co.uk for up to 6 years (5 years in Scotland).

Warranties and Guarantees:
Customers are entitled to free repairs or replacements irrespective of whether they possess a warranty or guarantee. This means that you may still need to perform repairs or replacements even after a customer’s warranty or guarantee has expired.

Proof of Purchase:
It is permissible to request proof of purchase from customers. This could include a sales receipt, bank statement, or packaging.

Returns by Third Parties:
We exclusively accept returns from the original purchaser of the item.
